Closings, cancellations and postponements for Thursday, February 20

Due to the severe winter weather, Thursday, February 20, 2025, will be a virtual/asynchronous learning day for all Northampton County Public Schools students and 10-month staff. All afternoon and evening activities, practices, and events are also canceled. School offices and central office buildings will be closed to all staff except essential personnel, who should report to their work site if required. 11- and 12-month employees should contact their supervisors regarding work-from-home assignments. Liberal leave is also authorized for 11/12 month employees in lieu of working from home.

Accomack County Schools will have a virtual learning day Thursday Feb. 20 for all students and 10 month staff. 12 month staff will have a remote work  day.

Head Start in both Accomack and Northampton County will have virtual class, Thursday, February 20, due to inclement weather conditions.

Broadwater Academy closed

Eastern Shore Community College will remain closed on Thursday and Friday 2/20-2/21

The Rhyme and Reason Montessouri School will be closed tomorrow

Accomac Christian Academy will be closed tomorrow February 20.

Head Start in both counties will have virtual classes Thursday,

Grayson Chesser’s talk about Decoy Carving at the Eastern Shore Public Library has been postponed to March 13.

The Women’s Club of Accomack County February 20 meeting has been canceled.

Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Membership meeting has been postponed.

Accomack County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court will be closed Thursday 2/20 .

Due to the impending inclement weather, the ESCSB has decided to cancel all client related services for Thursday.

Accomack County Circuit Court closed Thursday.

Accomack and Northampton General District Court will be closed today, Thursday

Northampton County Government Offices, Convenience Centers & Transfer Station will closed all day on Thurs., Feb 20th

Eastern Shore Community College closed today and tomorrow. The Arts Festival scheduled for Saturday has been postponed until Saturday March 1.

Riverside Medical Group physician practices and the Riverside Shore Cancer Center will be closed on Thursday. Riverside Shore Home Health and Hospice will be closed on Thursday. Riverside Physical Therapy will be closed Thursday. Riverside Cardiopulmonary Rehab will be closed Thursday.

Davis Disposal will not be working their regular Thursday route today.  Davis Disposal will continue their service Friday and will work into the weekend if necessary to catch up.
