Closings, cancellations and delays for Wednesday, February 12, 2025

Due to poor road conditions, February 12, 2025 will be a virtual/asynchronous learning day for all Northampton County Public Schools students and 10-month staff. All afternoon and evening activities, practices, and events are also canceled. School offices and the Central Office will open at 9 a.m., and all 11 and 12-month employees will report to work on a one-hour delay. Twelve-month custodians need to report at 9 a.m. to assist with building preparation, sidewalk clearing, and sanding, as well as deep cleaning of buildings. Conditions will continue to be monitored and we will provide updates as needed.

Accomack County Schools will have a virtual day of instruction  Wednesday 2/12for all students and 10 month staff.  Road conditions will be evaluated again in the morning but for now there will be as 2 hour delay for 12 month staff.

Broadwater Academy will open at 10:00am Wednesday, February 12. There will be no early care. The bus route pick up times are 2 hours delayed and the schedule will be attached to an email from school. As always, use your best judgment in making decisions for your children.

Accomack County Probation and Parole will have a delayed opening at 10:00 AM on Wednesday.

Head Start both counties  will be closed but will have a virtual learning day Wednesday.

The Eastern Shore Area Agency on Aging will be closed Wednesday, 2/12.

The Eastern Shore Community Services Board offices will be open today. 2/12

PenFed Credit Union will be open at 11 am today

The Eastern Shore Center for Independent Living will be closed today.

Accomack County Government offices will open at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The landfill, south transfer station and convenience centers will open at their normally scheduled times.  Please check the County web site for updates.

Onancock DMV and Parksley DMV Select will open two hours late.

No Limits day support is closed today. No Limits Eastern Shore case manages are working remotely.

Workshop Format

Participants will have the opportunity to preview an early version of the online Livability Hub—developed based on insights from previous workshops—and contribute to the next round of design to improve its functionality and usability. The resources will be available for participants to access via project website.
