Closings, cancellations and delays for Tuesday, December 9

Due to road conditions, Northampton County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, for all students and 10-month staff. All 11- and 12-month employees should report at 10 a.m. We will continue to monitor weather developments throughout the day and will provide updates as needed. All afternoon and evening activities, practices, and events are also canceled

Accomack County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay today December 9, 2025.

ESCC will open late at 11am on Tuesday, December 9th.

Broadwater will be monitoring the weather and road conditions closely this evening and early tomorrow. Due to the low overnight temperatures, we will be operating with a 2-hour delay on Tuesday. If conditions do not improve and temperatures fail to rise, we may need to close the school for the day.

Shore Christian Academy will have a 2 hr delayed ( to 10am) on Tuesday, 12/09/25 due to road conditions.

Cape Charles Christian School will be closed tomorrow, December 9, 2025.

Accomack and Northampton County General District Court will have a delayed opening, beginning their December 9 dockets at 10:00 AM.

Head Start both counties closed today

Accomack Northampton Planning Commission,  Accomack Northampton Regional Housing Authority, ESVA Housing alliance will open at 11 a.m.  Drop box for any documentation is available,.

Va. Farm Bureau Insurance offices in Accomac and Eastville will open at 10:30

No Limits Eastern Shore will open at 10:30 today.

First Horizon Bank in Cheriton and Onancock opening at 10:00

DMV in Onancock opening at 10 am. today.

Northampton County Circuit Court and Clerk’s Office will open at 11:00 a.m. today, 12/09/2025, due to inclement weather.
