Closings, cancelations and delays for Tuesday, February 24

Accomack County Public Schools will have a virtual learning day, employee code 2.

Due to the inclement weather, downed power lines, downed trees and dangerous road conditions, the CSB will be closed on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026. A huge thanks to our Residential staff, Emergency Services staff and Maintenance staff for keeping everyone safe.

The Eastern Shore Center for Independent Living will be closed tomorrow Tuesday February 24, 2026. Stay safe and warm!

Eastern Shore Community College campus will open at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 24th.

All Accomack County government facilities, including the landfill, transfer station and convenience centers, will be closed Tuesday, February 24th, due to inclement weather and associated power outages.

Tuesday, February 24, it will be a virtual learning day for all Northampton County Public Schools students and 10-month staff. All afternoon and evening activities are also cancelled. All 11- and 12-month staff will report to their worksite on a 2-hr delay.

Head Start in both counties will have a virtual learning day Tuesday.

Broadwater Academy will be closed Tuesday

Shore Christian Academy will be closed on Tuesday, February 24, 2026

The Eastern Shore Regional Library & Heritage Center, the Northampton Free Library, and Chincoteague Island Library will all be closed on Tuesday, February 24.

Accomack County and Northampton County General District Courts are open Tuesday 2/24/26.

Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission, Accomack-Northampton Regional Housing Authority, Eastern Shore Virginia Housing Alliance All will be closed for Tuesday Feb 24.

Parksley Select-DMV will be closed today, February 24th.

Department of Motor Vehicles-Onancock will be closed today, February 24th

No Limits Eastern Shore Brain Injury Services will be closed February 24, 2026.

Northampton County Administration, as well as the landfill/transfer station and convenience centers, will open on time on Tuesday, February 24th.

Accomack Circuit Court will have a delayed opening at 11:00

District 4 Adult Probation and Parole in Accomac will open at 10 a.m. If you need to reschedule an appointment for safety reasons, please contact your officer.

H&R Block offices in Belle Haven and Onley are closed
