Closings and Delays Tuesday 2/11/25

Due to the Winter Storm Warning and threat of severe weather, ACPS will be closing 2 hours early today, Tuesday, February 11^th. All afterschool activities are cancelled.

Northampton County Public Schools will have a virtual learning day for all schools, students and 10 month staff. All afternoon and evening activities, practices, and events are also cancelled. Schools, the Division Central Offices, and all work sites will operate on normal hours. All 11 and `12 month staff will report to their work sites at their regularly scheduled time. Weather and road conditions will be monitored throughout the day, buildings will be closed early if conditions warrant.

All Accomack County facilities including the northern landfill, south transfer station and convenience centers will close at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 due to winter storm warnings and inclement weather forecast. Please check the County website for updates.

Due to the mid-morning weather forecast for the entire Shore, Broadwater Academy will close today at 12:00 PM. All students must be picked up from campus by 12:30PM and buses will run normal routes beginning at 12:00 PM.

Northampton County Circuit Court and Clerk’s Office are closing at 12:00 p.m. today.

The Eastern Shore Regional Library & Heritage Center and the Northampton Free Library are closed due to the inclement weather. The ESPL Trustees meeting for today has been canceled. The Chincoteague Island Library is closing at 1 o’clock today. The writing group scheduled for 7 o’clock today will be rescheduled for tomorrow Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

The Recessed Work Session scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2025 has been cancelled due to impending winter weather.

Bingo tonight at Cheriton Volunteer Fire Company has been canceled

Onancock DMV closing at 1:00 PM. Parksley DMV closed at noon.

Eastern Shore Community College is closing at 2pm today (Tues 2/11). All classes and activities on campus are cancelled for the remainder of Tuesday.

Eastern Shore Foot Center office of Doctor Wayne Chin closed.

H&R Block offices in Belle Haven and Onley will be closing at 2pm

Accomack County Circuit Court closed at noon.

Accomack County Probation and Parole will have a delayed opening at 10:00 AM on Wednesday.

The Accomack County Board of Supervisors Chairman has called for the continuance of the previously scheduled Tuesday, February 11^th Board of Supervisors special meeting devoted to development of the FY26 County Budget. This meeting will be continued to Thursday, February 13^th at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers located at 23296 Courthouse Ave, Accomac, VA
