Closings and cancellations for Monday, December 8

Accomack County Public Schools Virtual learning day 12/08/2025 for all students. 11-month and 12-month employees report on time.

Due to anticipated inclement weather beginning mid-morning, Northampton County Public Schools will be closed on Monday, December 8, 2025 for all students and 10-month staff. All afternoon and evening activities, practices, and events are also canceled. Due to weather conditions, all Northampton County Public School Buildings and the Central Office will be closing at 12 p.m. today, December 8, 2025. Please stay warm and safe.

Broadwater Academy will close at 11:45 AM today. Buses will depart at noon.

Shore Christian Academy will close at noon. No lunch and no after care.

Due to impending snowfall, ESCC in Melfa will be closing at 12pm today, Monday, December 8th.

No Limits Eastern Shore Day Support is closed today, December 8,2025. Case Managers are working remotely.

The Regional Library & Heritage Center in Parksley and the Northampton Free Library in Nassawadox will be closing at noon today.

Men’s night at Louise’s is canceled tonight. Men can still come in today to get goodies for your significant others and Pam and Lou can check off their list!

Eastville is canceling tonight’s tree lighting ceremony and visit with Santa Claus. They are working to see if rescheduling with Santa is feasible.

The Exmore Town Council Meeting for tonight has been postponed until Monday, December 15th at 7:00 PM.

The Eastern Shore Center for Independent Living, INC will be closing today at 12pm due to inclement weather.

Chincoteague Island Library will be closing at noon today.

Northampton Circuit Court and Clerk’s Office will close at 1:00 p.m. today, 12/08/2025, due to inclement weather.

Accomack Northampton Planning District Commission, the Accomack Northampton Regional Housing Authority, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia Housing Alliance will be closing at 12:30 PM today. Stay tuned to WESR for updates.

Temperanceville Masonic Lodge #121 has canceled their meeting tonight. It has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 16 at the same time.
