Holiday Radio Auction benefitting the Eastern Shore Historical Society

November 21 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society Holiday Auction

On Saturday, Nov. 21, WESR will host the Eastern Shore Historical Society’s Holiday Auction, featuring great gift items from local shops, restaurants, and artisans. Check off everyone on your Christmas shopping list, and pick the gifts up at one stop! In what’s been a challenging year with little opportunity for in-person fundraising, proceeds from this auction will benefit the Historical Society’s operating budget. The nonprofit organization seeks to preserve Eastern Shore history, educate the community about our heritage, and share cultural experiences. Auction items will include an owl carving by Billy Crockett; a dining experience at Maurice; a decorative piece from Eastern Edge Fabrications; an original watercolor from Diana Davis; a full-size Smith Island cake of your choice from Becca’s; a smoked turkey from Mt. Nebo Meats; a sunset cruise out of Onancock Creek on the Major Gayle; and much, much more. Follow the Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society’s and Shore Daily News’ Facebook pages to view items before the auction. Be sure to tune in at 9 a.m. Nov. 21! Items will be ready for pickup by early afternoon that day from Ker Place.

Finish – or even start and finish! – your holiday shopping, right down to the meals, while helping local nonprofit Eastern Shore of Virginia Historical Society make up for this year’s lost fundraisers. Tune to WESR 103.3 FM this Saturday, Nov. 21, at 9 a.m. for the organization’s Holiday Auction. When your favorite items come up, just call 787-3200 to bid. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit’s operating account and will allow the group to continue to present educational programming for all ages; host field trips; maintain two properties on the National Register of Historic Places; offer online access to extensive Eastern Shore archives and collections; and much more. Thank you to neighboring businesses for their generous contributions in this challenging time. Items include:
