The Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce held a Business After Hours Wednesday at the new offices of Shore United Bank at Four Corner Plaza in Onley. Shore United has recently expanded to Virginia’s Eastern Shore after serving northern Delmarva from their home base in Easton Md. The current company was created when CNB merged with the Talbot Bank in 2016. It traces its roots in banking and serving the Eastern Shore to 1850. The new office at Four Corner Plaza specializes in serving families and small businesses with a complete array of banking services from checking accounts, loans, insurance services and investments.

Longtime local banker Jennifer Annis will serve as branch manager and invites everyone to stop in and see their new office. Jennifer’s comes from farming family. Accomac native and long time Eastern Shore of Virginia Banker Tom Mears is now serving as a Vice President at Shore United Bank in Easton.

Shore United President Pat Bilbrough said that in a time when major banks are closing offices in small towns, Shore United is committed to service to those customers and their communities and plans to continue that business model.
