Accomack County voters will head to the polls Tuesday, November 7 to cast their votes for our state leaders, our representative in the House of Delegates, but also will decide whether or not to continue to appoint representatives for our County’s School Board.
Accomack County is one of the few counties in the state that still appoints school board members, and a referendum will determine whether or not they continue to be.
Get the facts regarding an appointed and/or an elected school board in order to make an informed decision. There are pros and cons to both choices. Come to the public forum on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Mary N. Smith Cultural Enrichment Center (former Mary N. Smith Middle School on 24577 Mary N Smith Road- Accomac) at 6:00 pm.
