Mrs. Doris Granz Brown, 84, wife of the late Charlie Lee Brown and a resident of Melfa, VA, passed away November 12, 2017 at Riverside Shore Rehabilitation Center in Parksley, VA.

Born on April 21, 1933 in Long Island, New York, she was the daughter of the late Carl William Granz, Sr. and Theresa Buck Granz. She retired at the age of 79 from McCaleb-Metzler Insurance Company after 54 years of service. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and Melfa Fire and Rescue in Melfa, VA.

She is survived by a daughter, Theresa B. Bundick of Harborton, VA; a son, David W. Brown of Melfa, VA; a grandson, Kyle J. Bundick and Kelsey Beaty (fiancé) of Harborton, VA; a granddaughter, Kristina D. Bundick of Newport News, VA; and a great–granddaughter, Karalynn Bundick of Harborton, VA. She is also survived by Norvil and Peggy Brown of Melfa, VA; Newton and Peggy Brown of Onancock, VA; Mae Mears of Glen Bernie, MD; Dorothy Merritt of Salisbury, MD; Martha Custis of Richmond, VA; Mill Brown of Brooklyn, MD; Grace Granz of Melfa, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Also numerous relatives in New York. She was predeceased by one brother and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Funeral services will be conducted from the graveside at Belle Haven Cemetery on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Curtis Lucy officiating.
