Viewers of NFL games Sunday might have seen what seemed to be a familiar face.
Apple developed a commercial featuring their new Group Facetime Service. The commercial features a group of Elvis impersonators. Clarence Giddens aka Black Elvis from Painter was part of the national ad. The ad got the group of impersonators together to demonstrate the service which can accommodate as many as 38 participants at one session.
A popular Eastern Shore writer has a feature article in December’s Chesapeake Bay Magazine. Bill Sterling formerly of the Eastern Shore Post and Eastern Shore News continues writing even in retirement. December’s Chesapeake Bay Magazine features an article on the Tangier Holly Run. The run is an annual event by several pilots from the upper Eastern Shore that brings fresh Christmas greenery to the Island each year. The event has become an annual tradition for the pilots and is welcomed by island residents who have little or no access to holly and other greens for Christmas.
