Benito Flores was in Accomack County Circuit Court on Thursday facing 2 charges of distribution of cocaine. The original charge was one for distribution of cocaine and the 2nd for distribution of heroin, but when the case was called the indictment was amended to 2 separate counts of distribution of cocaine.

Judge Lewis explained to the defendant that he was facing a maximum of 80 years a $1 million fine plus all court cost.

The Commonwealth’s Attorney Elizabeth Wolf explained to the court that the Eastern Shore Drug Task Force working in the Parksley area had a confidential informant call the defendant and arrange for a purchase of cocaine on December 7, 2016 and January 13, 2017. The purchase was audio and video recorded by the confidential informant.

Judge Lewis accepted the defendant’s guilty plea continuing the case until February 5, 2018 for guidelines and criminal history to be prepared and a evaluation to determine if the defendant was eligible for the C-CAP Program.
